The underlying image itself remains untouched, with regards to its pixel dimensions. The most likely effect of this will be the visible image size changing, as DPI is the only tool Scrivener uses to change the visible size of an image in the editor. Images that have been fully embedded into the text editor (which is the default mode of operation, unless one specifically uses image links to the disk or binder) can lose their DPI setting when the binder item they are embedded within has been edited. ![]() Image size changes on Desktop after editing on iOS Symptoms If the software starts crashing again, you can easily follow the above checklist to get back in, and try again with another similar font. If you wish to try changing the default formatting back to using another font, some have found that different fonts work better than others. Some use version 1.17 to avoid KFX ebooks altogether but now that Amazon is forcing this update it’s going to cause issues for those that still use older versions of Kindle for PC/Mac. Removal of KFX DRM isn’t yet possible with newer versions of Kindle for PC. I’ve also been having the same exact problem with Amazon’s Music app for PC. Some folks have tried reverting back to an earlier version multiple times just to have the forced update take over again. ![]()
